Mark "The Walrus" Walling - lead guitar
Dave "Superdave" Hertz - drums, backing vocals
Tim "Fish" Fisher - bass, backing vocals
If you've heard the buzz around the Tampa Bay area, it's probably been about Seminole, Florida's Fall 2 Earth. This band's style of heavy rock unearths a pop/grunge/alternative flair that's definitely unlike most bands you'll find in Florida. Reminiscent of Rush, Queensryche, Evanescence and the Red Hot Chili Peppers yet remarkably different, Fall 2 Earth pair thought-provoking lyrics with a tapestry of inspired arrangements which combine the eclectic musical backgrounds of each member.
Lead vocalist Sonya Walling and lead guitarist Mark Walling have been collaborating on projects since July 2003. February 2007 saw the introduction of drummer Dave Hertz and in May 2008, bassist Tim Fisher added his talents to the band. The four have merged their vast experience to form what's quickly becoming the hottest female-fronted alternative rock band in the area.
Constantly writing new material, Fall 2 Earth have raised the bar for local Florida bands. The band has booked numerous gigs and performs at a variety of bars and clubs playing either full cover sets or full original sets of music - or often a combination of both. Whether you see the band playing their varied mix of covers from the 60s through today or happen to catch them at one of their many all-original shows, you'll never fail to be amazed by this band's diversity.
In May 2007, Fall 2 Earth were signed by Boston-based Illumina Records to be a part of the Ground Control project by performing their single Falling Star for the Miami Rockers For Life compilation CD. Look for details about how to purchase the CD on the band's website. Fall 2 Earth are proud to be affiliated with Illumina Records by helping to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving.
